When Trilliant's expertise in networked
audiovisual systems is applied utilizing its 5
step Service Model, the following scope of services is typical
for a complete concept to completion solution.
Step 1: Audit
For existing facilities, the first step is a formal audit and documentation
of existing systems (if any), equipment and services. Understanding precisely
what you currently have in place is necessary to assess capabilities as
they now exist.
Step 2: Programming & Master
Planning
In this phase the focus is on the goals of the organization and the ability
of the current technology resources to enable the organization to reach
those goals. Just as the audit details what resources are available, the
programming phase makes it clear if those resources, in part or as a whole,
are appropriate for the client to achieve its goals in a new or renovated
facility.
The development of a technology master
plan is the extension of the programming phase. It goes beyond the current
goals of an organization to plan the evolution of technology to meet the
organization's long-term goals. It asks, "Where do you wan to be
in three, five and ten years and how can technology help you get there?"
Successfully done, the master plan can be the difference between having
the flexibility to adapt to an evolving technology environment or potentially
having to justify paying for all new systems every few years.
Step 3: Detailed Design &
Specification
The infrastructure of an organization is the physical network and hardware
that it uses to transfer and store information. It is the highway to and
keeper of all internal information, as well as the gateway to the rest
of the world. The detailed design and specification of voice, data, video
and transmission medium systems. It also includes the design and recommendation
of the physical spaces, pathways and environmental conditions, which are
the support structure for the network.
Step 4: Procurement
The procurement of large-scale technology systems and services is as critical
as the design itself. The products and vendors chosen will determine the
performance and reliability of your technology systems. Trilliant procures
millions of dollars each year in technology systems and equipment and
understands what it takes for a project to be successful. The Trilliant
team knows how to assist clients with avoiding long-term obligations that
are not in their favor. This knowledge of the industry, combined with
proven competitive bid procurement processes assures clients of a quality
product, as well as a strong return on investment.
Step 5: Project Management
Today's complex, heterogeneous and rapidly changing technology landscape
requires the utilization of strong project management and tracking skills.
While studies have shown that poor project management is the leading cause
of project failure, many technology firms think of it as little more than
"administrative support." Leadership and direction provided
by strong project management is critical to successfully meeting your
client's needs and expectations. The Trilliant team has proven project
management expertise that has helped organizations successfully complete
large, complex and geographically dispersed projects in a variety of functional
and technological areas.

Enron
Center South
Houston, Texas
Architect: Cesar
Pelli & Associates
The project involved the assessment,
on-site design, procurement and project management of the Audio/Visual
and video applications that support the Trading, IT and management floors
in the new Enron Center South. The project began in February 2001 and
continued until Enron quit trading in December 2001. Over the course of
the fall, over 1000 traders and support staff had moved into and begun
using the facilities. During the majority of this time Trilliant was on-site
full time (or more).
Assessment and Proof of Concept
Studies
Trilliant also performed research and feasibility studies with regard
to systems being proposed for use in the facilities:
Performed extensive research and conducted
meetings with manufacturer's representatives and Enron personnel into
an analog videoconferencing system - AVISTAR. Trilliant reviewed system
functionality, the financial viability and stock market reports regarding
the company and composed a report outlining the strengths and weaknesses
of the product. Eventually, Trilliant developed a specification, solicited
and reviewed a bid from the manufacturer and supervised the installation
of an AVISTAR system into the infrastructure of the new facilities.
Performed Extensive research and conducted
meetings with several manufacturer's representatives and software developers
as well as Enron personnel and other consultants to determine the efficacy
of various Wallboard Display Systems currently on the market.
Performed research and met with several
manufacturer's representatives to identify potential solutions for a large
"video wall in a lobby area of the new facility. (read
